Administrative Licensure Programs of Study
The Educational Leadership Program is proud to provide an avenue to licensure for future dynamic school and district administrators. The Arkansas Department of Education recognizes the following three administrator licenses:
Building Level Administrator (PDF) — P-12 / Assistant principal, vice principal or principal. At the University of Arkansas, the Building Level Administrator is embedded in the Master's of Education (M.Ed.) in Educational Leadership, while the District Level Administrator is embedded in the Education Specialist Degree (Ed.S.) in Educational Leadership.
Curriculum/Program Administrator (PDF) — School leader who is responsible for program development and administration and/or employment evaluation decisions. This endorsement can be obtained via a non-degree seeking pathway, not through a Graduate Certificate.
District Level Administrator (PDF) — P-12 / Assistant superintendent, deputy superintendent or superintendent.
The Educational Leadership Licensure Handbook (PDF) has more information.
