The Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree in Educational Leadership is designed primarily to provide professional preparation for students seeking administrative positions in elementary and secondary schools.

The Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in Educational Leadership is designed primarily to provide professional preparation for students involved in school site administration and those individuals who have district-wide administrative responsibility.

The Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Educational Leadership is designed to provide professional preparation for students in pursuing careers such as: (1) principals and other building administrators and supervisors in public and private schools; (2) superintendents and other central administrative personnel; (3) federal and state governmental agency officials; (4) educational administration professoriate; and (5) other education related professionals. Within each of these areas, there is some flexibility to fashion programs of study tailored to unique student career goals. Every program, no matter which career focus is selected, is subject to final approval by the student's advisor and doctoral advisory committee.

The Distance Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Educational Leadership  In an effort to serve the great state of Arkansas, the University of Arkansas is offering the Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) primarily through a compressed interactive video (CIV) delivery method plus a mixture of Web-based, independent study, and on-campus courses. The CIV courses will be delivered at education cooperatives in Arkadelphia, Farmington, and Helena-West Helena.

Administrative Licensure Programs of Study  If you already have a master's degree, these programs of studies will prepare you for building level licensure, district level licensure, or Arkansas curriculum/program administrator.
